We encourage you to thoroughly explore our website and reach out with any questions regarding our breeding program. We also recommend researching and speaking with other breeders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the different German Shorthaired Pointer lines available. This process will help ensure you are well-informed and confident in making the best decision for your family.
After completing your research, you may choose to adopt a Westrock German Shorthaired Pointer puppy. The next step is to complete our puppy application, which helps us learn more about you and the environment you can provide for a Westrock puppy. In addition to submitting your application, please schedule a telephone consultation through our booking platform. During this call, we will review your application and answer any questions you may have.
If we determine that a Westrock puppy is a good match for you, your application will be approved. At that time, you will review and sign our Puppy Adoption Contract. A non-refundable deposit is also required to secure your place on the waitlist.
Once you are on the waitlist, we maintain regular communication regarding upcoming litters and the anticipated timing for your new puppy. Because we breed studs and dams with compatible characteristics, littermates tend to be very similar. We work closely with you to select the puppy best suited to your preferences for temperament, color, and sex.
If your preferred characteristics are not available in a particular litter, your deposit can be applied to a future litter without penalty. Please note that if you choose not to adopt a Westrock puppy, the deposit is non-refundable.
"I've been on the hunt for the perfect German Shorthaired Pointer for over seven years, and I can confidently say that my search ended when I discovered Westrock Kennel, thanks to Steve and Marissa.
From the moment I met Steve at a NAVHDA event in Cabela's, I knew I was in the right place. My dog, an absolute machine in the field, is a testament to the quality of breeding at Westrock Kennel. He showed his retrieving prowess at just 14 weeks old, and his love for water and treeing began at a mere 12 weeks - it's astonishing!
What truly sets them apart is the personal touch. Steve and Marissa aren't just breeders; they're friends. We've shared drinks and laughter at their place while getting our dogs trained. They're always available to answer our questions, easing the nerves of first-time dog owners like us. And their bird introductions for our puppy were a game-changer!
Our puppy from Westrock Kennel is a gentle, calm, and friendly companion at home, but when we step outside, he switches into a hunting and retrieving dynamo. His energy and drive are unparalleled, and I couldn't have asked for a better pup.
I must highlight that, at just three months old, my pup showed more retrieving and water interest than my friend's dog from a renowned breeder in Alberta. That speaks volumes about the quality of breeding at Westrock Kennel.
We're thrilled with our dog and are already looking forward to adding a female dog from Steve's next litters. Westrock Kennel is the real deal, and if you're in search of a remarkable German Shorthaired Pointer, look no further. They have exceeded all our expectations!"
